Rolling In The Rainforest
Do you want to go rolling downhill and be able to control the speed on your own, fast or slow, here at Hanuman Luge you can do just that. Our open-air shuttle wound its way up the steep mountainside toward the peak that houses Hanuman World and their famed luge tracks. Your family and friends and kids can eagerly enjoy the vehicle’s side rails taking in views of vibrant green jungle foliage contrasting against crimson red soil and chalky white boulders.
When you step off the shuttle at the top station platform and were greeted by our friendly Luge guides and staff who proceeded to outfit your entire family and with helmets before giving you a safety briefing. As you are barely containing your excitement listening to instructions for navigating the sculpted concrete downhill tracks on wheeled carts reaching thrilling speeds using only subtle steering maneuvers.
The guide lead us to the top of the beginner course – a winding 650 meter route composed of gentle downhill slopes and wide gradual banked turns perfect for all ages and novice lugers. Your two children set off first, quickly figuring out how to safely pick up speed using the control stick to accelerate and brake around the course’s fluent shapes.
Next we followed them, tentative at first but swiftly getting the hang of luge navigation through the jungle terrain. You can hear distant squeals echoed through the rainforest trees indicating everyone was enjoying their rapid run to the bottom despite initial hesitation. Lastly, as climb aboard your wheeled sled, and given a hearty push start and swiftly zoomed downhill, to enjoy the lush green jungle terrain of riding.
As you allow the cool mountain air rush against your faces as you deftly banked left and right through leafy tunnels and around hairpin turns. Everyone can gently enjoy controlled speeds using the stick to ensure safety. Yet still feel the thrilling momentum of this unique mode of jungle transportation and fun. In what felt like seconds, you all have rolled down to the finish line exhilarated but also eager to tackle the longer intermediate course next, where kids can enjoy with their parents in our combined riding car.
After a shuttle ascent back uphill to the starting line, your round two will start commence on the same track featuring additional elevation changes, sharper cornering and maximum speeds nearly 20 miles per hour! As everyone immediately plunging downhill, the front wheels of my luge skipping over small bumps designed to add exciting though safe jumps.as everyone is screaming loudly, adrenaline pumping through my veins as you all raced through the rainforest anxiously trying to get through the finish line first and become as brave as the Hanuman God himself.
Your family and friends all have completed their second runs swiftly, and now your children now know the luge pros and cons after getting accustomed to the specialized wheeled sleds on the beginner course. Back at top station, they begged to ride a third time as the day neared sunset. Once you indulgently caved to your pleas and zoomed down the long winding tracks once more through the verdant jungle now glowing in warm late afternoon light.
Coasting to the finish station for the final time, you all have reflected on the immense thrill and enjoyment of this fabulous family and friends adventure activity.
